Beginning and Ending with God

Romans 11:36 states:
“For everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory.”
Looking at this single passage two important truths are found:
1.) Everything comes from God (Beginning). Everything God has placed in us: gifts, abilities, thoughts, dreams, and desires, come from our God the source of all life. Because these things begin with God, they must end with God as well. It is not intended for us to bring benefit for ourselves, or to think that we own and created what the Lord has done and given. James 1:17 states:
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
It is amazing to rest assured that God has a purpose and plan for everything, all that comes from Him has a purpose, which is the second truth:
2.) Everything is intended to bring God glory (End). Creation’s purpose is to reflect the majesty and glory of the Lord. Everything He created is intended for this purpose - and that includes us! All that He has provided, equipped, and blessed us with is purposed to bring Him glory. This is the best indicator to show whether or not your purpose is being fulfilled - are you bringing God glory? Does your work glorify God? Your time? Talents? If not, then ask the Lord to show us how we can take something that seems monotonous and redeem it for His glory. Past affliction, pain, or hurt can be redeemed through Jesus to bring glory to God and reveal His faithfulness. All things, intended to bring God glory.
These two truths form an important spiritual principal: that if all things have their root in the Lord, then as a result, its end means should direct straight back to Him! God’s desire is for His glory to be reflected in our lives - so that all He has given unto us will end in glorifying Him. It goes beyond that too. At each beginning of the day - God is blessing us with another opportunity to live for His glory, so it is important to begin with God! At days end, we should reflect everything back in glorifying and worshipping Him - thus ending with God. This is just one example of how we can apply this principal. I challenge each one of us to begin all things with an understanding and motivation to commence with glorifying our great and mighty God - our lives, our families, our church, our world will be changed!
